We want to assure you that our top priority is to always provide a healthy and safe hotel environment to all our guests and employees in our establishments, and even more so now, in today’s circumstances.

For this reason, we have created a program that includes a plan of measures following the recommendations of the WHO and the state and regional regulations in reference to the Covid-19, to ensure that you can enjoy your next stay in any of our hotels with total tranquility. For the effectiveness of all these measures we need your maximum collaboration in the fulfillment of these.

Hygiene measures for your safety

For this reason, we have created a program that includes a plan of measures following the recommendations of the WHO and the state and regional regulations in reference to the Covid-19, to ensure that you can enjoy your next stay in any of our hotels with total tranquility. For the effectiveness of all these measures we need your maximum collaboration in the fulfillment of these.

Staff

All our employees are fully trained to apply the preventive measures included in the Contingency Plan previously developed. They are equipped with PPE’s (personal protective equipment) based on risk exposure and their temperature is controlled daily.

Reception Desk

We implemented online check-in to reduce your waiting time and identity verification. All stationery will be eliminated except that which is strictly necessary, which will be for the sole use of each client. We encourage payment by card preferably and sending invoices by email . Disinfection with virucidal product of the keys, as well as of the surfaces after contact with each client. Personnel equipped with PPE's. Separation screens to guarantee the distance. Safety signage.

Restaurant

We maintain our buffets as they are one of the services most valued by our clients, implementing safety measures such as the compulsory use of hand sanitizers before and after serving oneself, restricting children’s access to avoid incorrect manipulations, enhancing show cooking, prioritizing individual portions, and signaling circulation to maintain distance. Face mask are mandatory when getting up for food and drinks, as well as in public areas when the minimum safety distance cannot be respected. Beverage dispensers are constantly being disinfected; tablecloth washed at more than 60 degrees.

Time sections will be established, and the tables will maintain a sufficient separation between them to guarantee social distance. All the essentials to guarantee the maximum safety without giving up the well-known gastronomy of Marsol Hotels.

Rooms

Cleaning and disinfection will be carried out without the presence of guests. Use of specific virucidal cleaning products to disinfect the surfaces most susceptible to contagion (switches, TV controls, furniture, door handles, cabinet and drawer handles, hangers, etc.).

Room ventilation . Bedding washed at more than 60 degrees.

Digitization of information to avoid the manipulation of elements. All room stationery will be removed, except that which is strictly necessary, which will be discarded when the client changes.

Leisure activities

To guarantee distancing measures, outdoor activities will be carried out. The capacity of group activities will be controlled.

All the elements used to carry out these will be disinfected after use. Hydroalcoholic gel is available for use before and after activities.

Daily disinfection of the playground area and the mini club will be carried out, as well as cleaning more frequently, implementing the appropriate hygienic measures in the process of registering the child. Children’s activities are designed and planned in such a way that the capacity and distance can be controlled, they are carried out outdoors as much as possible and the exchange of objects is avoided. The mask must be used whenever the safety distance cannot be maintained.In case of using any materials, they will be disinfected after each use.

Swimming pool areas

Our pools have a water treatment system using electrolysis and salt chlorination, guaranteeing disinfection at all times. We carry out treatments and daily control of the PH of the water and we ensure its correct maintenance through analytics. Daily disinfection of the beach area and hammocks. Safety distance from the hammocks of 1.5 m. except for people from the same family nucleus. The capacity of the hotel pools will be limited by the safety regulations established by the Government of Spain to guarantee social distancing.

Elevators

Limitation of capacity and mandatory use of a mask in the event that the occupants are not cohabitants. Constant disinfection of the surfaces most susceptible to housing the virus as they are the areas of most contact, such as the elevator buttons..

Advanced digital services

To minimize direct contact and personal interaction, in our hotels we offer technical and digital solutions to all our clients: Processes such as online check-in are digitized to speed up your entry from home, reducing procedures and waiting in reception. Stationery is removed from the room and a digital directory is implemented through a chatbot as a virtual assistant.

Common areas

As far as common areas are concerned, the frequency of disinfection of the hotel’s common areas has been increased, especially surfaces in the lobby, elevators, door handles, public toilets and areas with the highest volume of traffic for our clients. In the front desk and in the bars, the counter surfaces will be cleaned, every time a customer has been attended.

Hydroalcoholic gel dispensers. Safety signaling: We have put up specific signs in all the public areas of the hotel, reminding you of the need to keep a safe distance. Common areas have been redesigned: the furniture has been relocated, following the new legislation, to help customers maintain social distance. The use of the masks is mandatory in all the common areas, except inside the pool and while sunbathing.

Maintenance

The maintenance staff tries to do the maintenance tasks in the absence of the client and will be equipped with PPE. A program of periodic cleaning of ventilation and air conditioning ducts is established. Specific filters are incorporated in the air conditioning systems of restaurants and noble areas. Guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting equipment and tools used by maintenance personnel have been established.

Local rules

Outside the hotel, the use of the mask is mandatory in closed spaces, urban transport, shops and supermarkets , as well as on the street. To enjoy the beach responsibly, different areas have been set up for three profiles: Seniors (individuals or couples over 70 years old), Family Groups (with children), Young Adults (individuals, couples and groups of friends ).

All our establishments have obtained the distinctive of Safe Hospitality , which certifies that the company is adapted to the legislation that allows it to open during the Covid-19 crisis, guaranteeing compliance with cleanliness, health and hygiene requirements and that it is a safe establishment. To obtain this accreditation, among other requirements, our staff has completed specific training regarding the measures to prevent contagion by Covid-19 contained in the Manual prepared by the Technical Committee, in coordination with the ICTE (Institute for Quality Spanish Tourist).

In close collaboration and under the supervision of the Altimir group, a laboratory with more than 40 years of experience in the field of health, human health, the environment and food industry, we have prepared a contingency plan that brings together the procedures and the specific action protocol for each department. In addition, our staff has received courses in hygiene and food safety, for the implementation of A.P.P.C.C. (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), homologated courses of Legionella and customized hygienic-sanitary training.

Where can I take a PCR test in Lloret?

At Marsol Hotels & Resorts we have a new PCR testing system for our clients. This is a PCR self-test kit with a saliva sample that is taken by the client himself. After delivering the sample to the reception desk perfectly sealed and identified, it is taken for analysis and within 24 hours you will receive the report of the result in the official European format. The test cost is 65 €.

There are also several private healthcare centres where you can have antigen testing or PCR testing.
